Tonny Angelov a.k.a. DJ Tonny began his career in his native town Gabrovo (Bulgaria) in 1996. Later he moved to the cultural capital of the country – Plovdiv, where he remained until his departure for the island of Malta in 2011. In his early years, he was fascinated by Dance & RnB music, that influenced his entire career, although today he prefers the vast fields of House, Deep & Tech House.
When he moved to Plovdiv in 2002, he was noticed by one of the largest music agencies on the Bulgarian electronic scene – E-booking. At this point, DJ Tonny chose the path of the House, Progressive House & Trible music and became a resident of Bar Emona. In 2005 he made his first compilation together with the Bulgarian DJ legends Pacho & Pepo, with more than 5,000 copies. His mixes have appeared on various radio shows at home and abroad: Club Time, Panic Disco, Housecast Reacordings, Groove Connection. He received invitations to perform in the most popular Bulgarian clubs: Plazma (Plovdiv), Bedroom, Culture Beat, Hollywood Select (Sofia), Hollywood Select (Nessebar and Sunny Beach), Exess (Burgas), XXX (Varna), Viva (Golden Sands).
DJ Tonny created and realized two music projects – Out Of Control together with DJ Slav Petrov in 2008 and Latino Vibe in 2009 with electronic sound and live artists – percussion, guitars and vocals. In this way he quickly managed to conquer the audience as a true innovator on the home stage.
Just after these successful projects he decided to enter the studio and to produce his own music. Between 2010 and 2011 he released Separate for Ellectrica Recordings and Guitar Factory for Stolen Soul Music. Later appeared a few remixes for the labels: Housecast Recordings (Casa de Pira, 2011), Yashi Records (Red Island, 2012), Whobear Recordings (Desconocido, 2012) and Molacacho Recordigs (Is for a DJ, 2013). His track Abram Passo was released in 2012 for Housecast Recordings and a few months later was included in the compilation of Ministry of Sound London.
After his first appearance at the BarCelona Lounge (Malta) in 2011, Tonny Angelov was inspired by the music scene, the atmosphere and the vortex of the island’s nightlife and decided to continue his career there. Only a few months later he was highly evaluated by the local audience and received invitations to participate in the biggest bars and nightclubs on the island: Sky Club, Playground, Numero Uno, Love Saxy Festival, Med Asia, Med Asia Playa, Soho Club, Amazonia, Djampula, Playa Del Sol, Gianpula, Tigulio. Today he is resident DJ of the iconic club Clique, where he performs with names such as Paul Rich, Julian Jaweil, Dj Ruby, Carl Bee, Miss Roberta, Dj Lenny, Dj Ren-d, Jewel Kid, Dre Mt ‘, Tenishia. In 2016, he became a resident of Ministry of Sound Malta, where he shares the stage with the world-famous Milk & Sugar, Dale Castel, Crazibiza, Yves Larock and Criminal Vibes. He is also resident DJ of 4 other clubs on the island: Bacco by Hugo’s, Black sheep, Punto Clique.

After dizzying club performances and his many years of experience as a DJ, today Tonny Angelov returns to the studio to develop his potential in music production.
